Established in 1990, Corizma Siberians began with friend saying “just look at him”. I had never owned a dog in my life and now I’m owned by several Siberians.

In 1989 while working as an Obstetrics nurse I befriended Rose Mary and George Laubach of Arctic Song Siberians. George and I worked together while Ro and I went to shows together. An opportunity to obtain a red and white blue eyed male came available in September of 1990 and he became known as Talocon’s Christmas Corizma,”Cori”. We began with obedience and racing as well as joining the Garden State Siberian Husky Club.

I then obtained a companion for Cori from Ro, Arctic Song’s Link to Corizma, Casey. I was becoming interested in the conformation and ring and tried my hand at it with Casey but that was just a learning process.

Next came Foxlair’s Tubarr from William and Joanne Kreckmann, Foxlair Siberians. Kathy Stryeski, Linda Albright and I co-own Tubarr, it was decided that I would handle and train him, or was it that he trained me?

At this point I needed a mentor and sought out the advice and help of Michele Szczepanski and Rose Zaccagnino, Rockland. Front yard handling lessons, living room discussions of movement soon followed. Michele has always been a dear friend and sounding board for me.

In between a few more Siberians had been acquired and I continued to do recreational gig racing. Having struck a friendship with Michele and Rose and liking their “type” of dog, it was only natural that my next “show” dog come from them. Rockland’s Hidden Treasure was exactly that a "treasure".

In August of 1995 after finishing Tubarr’s championship, the dogs and I moved to Bethel, Alaska. We were going to the “bush” for a challenging and exciting nursing opportunity. Without knowing a soul in Anchorage I picked up the National membership list and contacted Phyllis Castleton, Betsy Randall and Marty Cashen. My dogs were always welcomed at Betsy’s kennel on my frequent trips in and out of Anchorage and I was always welcome at Phyllis’s home. Jewely began her show career in Anchorage taking a major our first show weekend, with people wondering who we were.

In December of 1996 the dogs and I returned home to New Jersey. December of 1997 my first litter was whelped out of Ch Foxlair’s Tubarr x Ch Rocklands Hidden Treasure, giving me Ch Corizma’s Bond, James Bond. A second breeding of “Jewely” to Ch Rockland’s Starbuck gave me Ch Corizma’s Krystl Blu Persuasion,“Krissy”. Krissy’s my couch buddy and ideal Siberian bitch, sound mover, beautiful expression and head, nice bone, good tail and correct body proportions.

Today I concentrate on contuining to produce what I found in Krissy, a sound Siberian with a wonderful disposition. I am active in showing, recreation racing and obedience as well as still an active member of the Garden State Siberian Husky Club.
